Ingredients

- Pasta
- Canned tomatoes
- Water
- Olive oil
- Garlic
- Red onion
- Olives
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Nutritional yeast
- Dried and fresh basil
- Salt and pepper
How to Make
Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a large, heavy-bottomed pot over high heat. Cover the pot with a lid and heat to a boil.
Step 2: Once the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Step 3: Serve warm and enjoy.

- 1 pound penne pasta (500 g)
- 1⅔ cups pureed tomatoes (400 ml)
- 3⅓ cups boiling water (800 ml)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup kalamata olives
- 8 pcs. sun-dried tomatoes (sliced, 50 g)
- 1⅓ tbsp dried basil
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp salt
Toppings
- 1 cup fresh basil (finely chopped)
- nutritional yeast or vegan cheese (optional)
Instructions
